Communication between the committees, which took place through the Trans-National Network, allowed some of them to take the first steps toward asserting rights already held in other regions.
The aim of the Network is to discuss and learn about the goals achieved at the local level in order to replicate and extend them throughout the country.
In Sicily, several committees belonging to the Network have joined forces to push for regional reimbursement for certain medications used by trans* people.
